Sadie Amara Calvano, an American actress who is most well-known for her role as Violet Plunkett on the CBS sitcom "Mom" and has earned lots of attention. As a California native, Calvano was initially interested in competitive gymnastics. Later, she decided to pursue a career path in acting. She debuted on the screen in 2010 in the episode of CBS's NCIS. In the biographical crime-drama film J Edgar, she made her first appearance on the big screen few months later. She became one of the top young actors in the industry over the next few years. For her performance in "NCIS," she was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best Performance on a Television Series with a Guest Actor Actress 11-15 years old in the year 2011. She was also nominated in 2013 for a Young Artist Award, this time for her appearance as a guest actor on Disney XD's comedic series "Kickin' it". Calvano appeared in a number of episodes of "Mom" during its fourth season. She was a main character in the first three seasons of the show. In 2015, she won the Gracie Allen Award of Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star for her appearance in Mom.
