Awkwafina
Awkwafina, an American performer and actress, started with a series of ribbing quips about racial identities and sexuality. After which she moved to Hollywood, she released a series of rap tracks. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants, was her very first musical encounter. She performed on the trumpet. Jazz, classical and hip-hop education began when she grew up. While at school, she majored in journalism, and women's studies in college even doing Mandarin in Beijing for a stint. When she graduated, she started to devote her time to music. In 2012, her song My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success across the Internet eventually landing on her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014. The album included other viral hits like the body-positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown NYC Bitche$1. The latter track was associated with Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide for 2015, which was a travel guide. Once she had established herself as a performer and author She decided to take on the role of actor. The actress has been in films including Neighbors 2, Storks as well as Bad Rap. In 2018, she was able to land breakthrough roles in a handful of prominent films such as Dude ocean's 8 as well as Crazy Rich Asians. Her debut EP,"At Fina We Trust in June of that year.
